Lucine Kasbarian

Lucine Kasbarian is a New Jersey and Massachusetts-based children’s book author, political cartoonist, syndicated journalist and publicist. She is a second generation-born American-Armenian descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors. She was brought up in an Armenian-speaking home where humor, politics and the arts shared equal stage. Lucine graduated from the NYU School of Journalism with minors in Political Science and Studio Art. She first began drawing political cartoons in response to the assassination of journalist Hrant Dink and as a way to constructively express her concerns about social injustice and réalpolitik. As a cartoonist, Lucine’s intention is to spotlight realities and hypocrisies that do not receive adequate coverage in mainstream media; to see her work appear in media outlets that reflect the traditions of a truly free press; and to drive the points home in absurdist, paradoxical ways by drawing from history, popular culture and personal experience. Niels Bo Bojesen

Niels Bo Bojesen (b. 1958) is a Danish editorial cartoonist. A graduate of the Danish School of Design and having attended the School of Visual Arts/Department of Media Arts, New York. He creates editorial cartoons for the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten as well as international websites, newspapers and magazines.
